Confident Hope

Sarah Jennings Wray, LMFT

What does it mean to have confident hope? It's the certainty in your soul that your life has the ability to change for the better. When we carry confident hope we experience the ability to ground ourselves when life seems out of control, and cope with the stressors, uncertainty, and change that comes with the human experience. Just like a child has confidence in the wish they make when they close their eyes and blow off the seeds of a dandelion - confident hope allows us to surrender our grip on things that are outside our ability to control and step into new areas of peace, strength, and insight as we tackle life's challenges. Let me help support you as you take the brave steps toward living a life full of confident hope!

My Approach

I believe that every person has the potential to change and grow in spite of life's challenges. When working with clients, I utilize a collaborative, strengths-based approach that incorporates cognitive behavior therapy, family systems theory, attachment theory, and solution-focused therapy. In utilizing these approaches, I view our times together as opportunities for learning skills and planting seeds, so you are able to have the tools to flourish and thrive long term.

Treatment begins with a thorough assessment to gather information and  determine the approach that would work best for you. When the assessment is complete, we work together to create a therapy goal so you can confidently monitor and track your progress in therapy. The next step is to do the work - process through the unhelpful patterns in your life, create coping skills, build insight regarding why we behave the way we do, and build a strong, new foundation for the future! Although every person and situation is different, this process tends to take between 6-18 months from start to finish, though some may need more or less time. My promise is to put in the work until your goals are met and your foundation is secure and sustainable.

Services

My practice provides both individual (0-5, child, teen, adult), and couple sessions. I also accommodate periodic collateral sessions (parent/child, siblings) to address ongoing relational issues in the context of individually-focused sessions. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and typically occur weekly.

Private Pay Investment*

Individual: $175 per session

Couple: $200 per session

I am in-network with the following insurances: Aetna, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, United Healthcare, Lyra and Anthem. Superbills can be provided to submit for reimbursement to insurance providers that I am out-of-network with. While many insurance providers will reimburse a portion of therapy services from out-of-network providers, I cannot guarantee reimbursement approval.
