About Me

Hello! I'm excited for the opportunity to partner with you on your therapy journey. Therapy is "the relationship that heals" and if we're going to work together, it's natural for you to want to know about me! The most obvious thing you will probably notice when you come into my office is that purple is my favorite color. You will probably also notice that I almost always have a large coffee on my desk.

My Story

Therapy was not my first career. I've always felt that my purpose in life is to help others, so I originally pursued a career as a journalist. After the economy crashed and I was one of thousands laid off, I took that opportunity to switch to a career that I felt would truly allow me to accomplish my purpose of helping others. I'm a proud graduate of California State University Northridge for both undergrad and master's programs. Prior to launching into private practice, I worked in community mental health as an outpatient therapist in the community of North Hills, as well as a residential therapist in two group homes for adolescent males ages 12-19. So, there is nothing you can say that will shock me at all.

I've been married to my high school sweetheart since 2006 and we have two beautiful boys. In my spare time I like to go hiking, travel with my family, discover new places to eat, and relax at home.
